Claw nail correction by antenna procedure: our experience

Abstract
Introduction: Claw nail deformity is a common complication following fingertip amputations and burns and can be quite distressing. An unclear optimal reconstructive procedure is available for the deformity, although many techniques have been described.
Methods: We studied 9 patients with 14 claw nail deformities treated by antenna procedure from 2014 to 2020 with a minimum follow-up of 1 year.
Results were considered good in 12 claw nails with a partial recurrence in 2. All the patients were satisfied with the functional and aesthetic outcome, although some pulp contour defects remained in all the cases.
Conclusion: This procedure was well tolerated in all the patients with minimum morbidity and hospital stay with a satisfactory outcome.
